Fried Cinnamon Apple Yogurt Bowl

Easy eats are kinda my MO.

But don't let the word "easy" fool you to think sloppy, lazy, or bland food.

See, I am a firm believer that every single meal should be enjoyed. Every time a morsel enters your mouth, it should taste good. I am also a firm believer that healthy food can and does taste just as good, if not better, when cooked and addressed properly.

Thus, comes this easy and healthy and completely mouthwatering fried cinnamon apple yogurt bowl, that not only tastes like Cracker Barrel's fried apples, but hugs you from the inside with the season's spices and nourishing produce. I got my hands on locally grown apples that made this bowl extra lovely and delicious.

Do yourself a favor:

  1. Melt a tablespoon of coconut oil on a skillet at medium heat.

  2. Add your chopped apple with generous shakes of cinnamon and a tablespoon or so of maple syrup. Let this cook for 7-10 minutes on that medium heat, just check in with the occasional stir.

  3. Scoop out your favorite vanilla yogurt into a bowl and pile on high your cooked apples. I like to add some Purely Elizabeth almond butter granola, a generous spoonful of crunchy peanut butter, and even a couple cranks of flakey sea salt.

And that's how simple it is to create a decadent, locally sourced, and satisfying fall breakfast. And simple tastes pretty dang good!!
